The newest addition to our virtual studios is a SMARTKEY functionality.

SMARTKEY is a new solution integrating chroma key function with media and graphics, in which chosen video clip or graphics is placed as a background layer.

SMARTKEY technology can be used:

  • As 4 independent Full HD, high quality chroma keys with video or graphic backgrounds.
  • As a PIP composition in LITE SMARTKEY app, that can be created using VSM Virtual Space Maker LITE Editor
  • Inside RECKEEN virtual studio

How does SMARTKEY work?

Input signals from the cameras, from up to 4 chosen video inputs in Reckeen SMARTKEY, are sent to chroma keying function. The purpose of chroma keying is to remove green or blue background, and be able to place a talent in a virtual studio. SMARTKEY function integrates a result from chroma keying with chosen video clip or still graphics. Chosen video clip or graphics is placed as a background layer, instead of green or blue colour.

Additional feature includes automatic movement of background media to intensify visual dynamic of a created scene. On such background, a layer with a talent, generated by a chroma key, can be placed. In that way, we can obtain four new media streams – SMARTKEY channels (SK 1 to 4), which can be placed directly inside our Reckeen virtual studio systems space, or sent to additional SDI outputs

Reckeen 3DSPRO now in a new 4K 60FPS version

Reckeen 3DSPRO – the latest generation of our pioneering 3D TV Studios line, now offers a new graphic card RADEON 5700 XT that allows the system to work in a 4K 60FPS format.

Radeon RX 5700 XT features new compute units, new instructions better suited for visual effects, and multi-level cache hierarchy for greatly reduced latency. For more technical information visit RADEON 5700 XT site.

  • presenters’ and objects’ shadows and reflections,

  • 3D animations – all objects in our studio can be animated, as well as 3D objects designed and animated outside of our system can be easily uploaded into our studio
  • NDI streaming technology, which enables compatible systems, devices, and applications to connect and communicate over IP to share videos, audio, and data.
  • The next version of 3DSPRO will support our new SMARTKEY functionality.

New features in Reckeen 3D Studio the version 1.4.21650

The list of the most important new features in 1.4.21650 version of the Reckeen system along with their short description.

Advance Chroma Key improvement

The new version of the Chroma key adds new functionalities:

  • Colour picker – specific colour selection is now possible in Advance Keyer,
    Pick colour – When you click on the button Chrominance Keyer below the highlighted Mode button , a window with a key settings opens up. Now the background color is selected with a probe. Clicking on the Pick color icon or on a color bar next to the icon, opens a window of a camera preview. Then, you have to select a location with a cursor and click there. The program will automatically sample the color as the background color and present it in the color box next to the probe icon.
  • Alpha Curve parameter – additional parameter to control shape of alpha curve
    Alpha Curve – Chroma key new slider. This new function adjusts the slope of this straight line to add (or subtract) an additional range of colours to a range of non-transparent colours. That way, the range of colours, that are similar to the background colour on which the object is located, will not be cut out by the mask. Additionally, this action highlights the details of the object, i.e. hair tips or areas on the edges of the clothes.

Simple Key improvement

  • Shrink option added – same option like in Advance Key
    Edge Correction is an additional correction that improves the keying quality. The Shrink function is responsible for reducing the object’s contour by softening it.
    This is especially important for certain types of cameras, image from which can produce a white line around the object. It is possible to remove it with the Shrink function. You can also use it in the cases where keying is difficult in some places, due to the properties of the object’s edges or lighting.

  • User can select start stage of animation (before was always “Intro” now can be set also to “Maintain” or “Outro”)

  • Trigger configuration button – shortcut button to trigger config.

Reckeen 3D Studio receives the Gold Medal Prize for the best video product at the FILM VIDEO FOTO Show!

FILM VIDEO FOTO Show is an annual trade show for photographic, film, audio and video equipment, as well as multimedia technologies.

It is Poland’s largest and the most important international conference and expo for professionals in the field of videography and photography.

This year’s FILM VIDEO FOTO Show took place in Lodz in Poland, on the 23rd-25th of May 2019.

We are proud to confirm that Reckeen 3D Studio won Show’s prestige Award – the Gold Medal Prize in the Video category. We are very thankful to Artur Wiacek, CEO of WAMM – our General European Distributor, for presenting our product at their stand, submitting it to the competition, and for his overall support.

We are also very pleased that FILM VIDEO FOTO Show’s television, for the 2nd time in a row, chose to broadcast the talks and interviews live in the internet using our Reckeen 3D Studio.

Reckeen 3D Studio and 3D objects animation

  • Animations of any 3D object on a scene
    Moving animations can be added to any object. For example, a graph or a monitor can suddenly appear in a form of moving animations.
    Simple object can be animated in 3 phases (intro, maintenance, outro).
  • Embedded animation – embedded animations from imported 3D object are supported (non rigged, no bones)
  • Dedicated animation trigger

Reckeen 3D Studio controls Blackmagic Design devices via IP protocol

  • Black Magic control by TCP/IP commands – sending control commands to Black Magic devices by TCP/IP or Reckeen MVP100

New hardware support – Reckeen 3DSPRO

  • Reckeen 3D Studio PRO is supported by a very strong hardware platform on which products such as MVP-100 are based. In the first version of firmware, this new platform will extend the capabilities with such features: inputs will support 4 x 3G SDI, 2 X 12G SDI, outputs will support 4 x 3G SDI and 2 x 12G SDI, Independent Program Out will be available on the HDMI output, and the new platform also support Genlock REF in and Loop.

New hardware support – 12G SDI

  • At present Reckeen 3D Studio SDI is available in two versions – with 3G and 12G speed. Version with speed of 12G SDI allows you to record, play and upload video materials in Ultra HD quality – that means the quality is four times better than traditional HD 1080, providing video resolution of 3849 x 2160. Simultaneously, 12G SDI remains compatible with all the SDI equipment.

Finances, costs and investments.

Reckeen Rental finances focus on flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Flexibility lets the business partners define their own prize for the final customer. Cost effectiveness lets the customers define the rental period according to their needs.

  • Initial investments are based on a refundable deposit of €1,999 (option without a PC) or €3,500 (option with a PC). For that price you get all of the products included in the package.
  • The minimal monthly threshold that a business partner is required to hit is only €100 (if the package without a PC was chosen) or €200 (if a package with a PC was chosen).If there are not enough rentals in a given month to reach the threshold, the amount of €100 or €200 (depending on the package) will be deducted from your deposit.
  • Additionally, a commission to our partner is granted at any sales that result from the Reckeen Rental program.

Daily and weekly rental rates for the customers are defined by business partners.

How to join Reckeen Rental

  • Send us an email to sales@reckeen.com expressing your interest and providing description of your business.
  • We present you with a contract.
  • The contract is signed for 6-month period. We can extend the contract for another 6 months on your request. On renewal, you can acquire an additional license. Everything will be managed from your online account.

Contract termination

If our contract does not satisfy you, you can terminate it at any time. We return your deposit (reduced by any outstanding fees or any costs associated with damage not resulting from equipment’s use, if any).

DISCOUNT

If your customer provides us the right to publish 1-minute video created with Reckeen® system – you and your customer are entitled to a discount.

Provided materials will only be used to promote Reckeen® products.
